Contract Drilling

Daywork, footage and turnkey contracts on AC-electric pad-walking rigs rated from 1,000 to 3,000 horsepower. Pad-to-pad moves in under 36 hours, walking systems that hold 25-foot well spacing, and top drives on every unit in the fleet.

Service line 02

Offshore Platform Drilling

Three jackups and two moored semi-submersibles working the Gulf of Mexico shelf and deepwater, plus platform drilling and workover crews placed on customer-owned installations.

  • Water depths to 8,000 ft (semi-submersible units)

  • Dual-activity derricks on Rigs 17 and 18

Service line 03

Directional Drilling & MWD

In-house directional department, not a subcontract. Our engineers plan the well path, run the rotary steerable tools and sit the geosteering desk in Midland with real-time data off the rig floor.

  • 24/7 remote operations centre with two-hour handover cadence

Service line 04

Well Services

Completions Support

Casing running, cementing supervision, frac-stack handling and wellhead installation.

Workover & Rework

Six workover units for recompletions, tubing changes, pump changes and rod work.

Fishing & Remediation

Stuck pipe recovery, milling, sidetracks and wellbore cleanouts on our own hole or somebody else's.

Coiled Tubing

Two units for cleanouts, nitrogen lifts, acid placement and plug milling.

Plug & Abandonment

Turnkey P&A programs including orphan and legacy wells, with regulatory filing support.

Site Construction

Pad build, containment, roads and rig-up/rig-down civil scope.

Service lines 05 & 06

Marine Logistics & Aviation

Offshore work fails on logistics long before it fails on geology. Xtragate operates its own vessels and its own aircraft so that mud, casing, fuel and people arrive when the drilling program says they should, not when a third-party charter has a window.

Five platform supply and standby-rescue vessels run fixed weekly rotations out of Port Fourchon. Twelve Bell helicopters cover crew change, medevac and inspection flights from Fourchon, Galveston and Venice.

Contracting

How we contract

Daywork

Operator directs the program, Xtragate provides rig, crew and maintenance at a day rate. Most common structure.

Footage

Fixed price per foot to an agreed depth. We carry the drilling risk. Available on known formations.

Turnkey

One price, spud to rig release, including third parties. Fully transferred risk for commercial operators.

All contracts are IADC-based with mutual indemnity, and every scope includes an HSE bridging document before the first joint goes in the hole.

Xtragate does not tender publicly and does not accept unsolicited enquiries. Programmes come to us through operators we already work for.
