Quality & Assurance

Audited by people who are not paid by us.

An internal quality system that only ever audits itself is a filing exercise. Ours is checked from outside on a fixed cycle, and the findings are handed to clients unedited.

Xtragate is six months old, and this register says so. Four standards are certified; three are through audit and awaiting certification; one is still under assessment. We publish the pending ones rather than imply a maturity we have not earned yet. Certificates are held in the client data room.

Assurance

Four lines of checking

Line 1

The crew

Pre-job safety meeting, permit, and unconditional stop-work authority held by every person on location regardless of employer.

Line 2

The rig manager

Documented weekly system checks against the operating manual, plus an unannounced night visit every hitch.

Line 3

Internal audit

A team that does not report to operations audits every rig twice a year against the management system, and their findings cannot be closed by the district that received them.

Line 4

External audit

Certification body surveillance annually, client audits on request, and an independent well control verification every twelve months. The first full cycle completes in March 2027.

Findings

Audit record, since start-up

38Audits completed
0Major non-conformances
21Minor non-conformances raised
21Closed within target
64Observations logged
11 dMedian closure time
100%Findings issued to clients
4Client audits hosted

We publish the count of minor non-conformances rather than hiding it. A contractor reporting zero findings across thirty-eight audits is not being audited properly.

Competence

Certification is the floor, not the ceiling.

Every person on an Xtragate location holds the certification their role requires, current and verified before they step on the pad. That is the minimum and it is checked at the gate.

Above it sits a competence framework: a documented set of tasks a person must be observed performing, signed off by a named assessor, before they work that task unsupervised. Nobody is promoted on tenure alone.

  • IADC WellSharp current for every driller and above
  • Documented task-based competence sign-off by a named assessor
  • Verification at the gate, not on a spreadsheet in an office
  • Annual reassessment for all safety-critical roles
  • Contractor personnel held to the same standard as employees

How we take work.

Xtragate does not tender publicly and does not accept unsolicited enquiries. Programmes come to us through operators we already work for.
